Diane Black Surges to the Lead; Has More Primary Cash On Hand Than Any Other 6th District Candidate
GALLATIN, TN—State Senator Diane Black announced today that her campaign for congress has $444,000 cash on hand with over $424,000 available to use in the primary."I am honored to have been met with such strong support as I campaign across the sixth district. People are fired up and ready to fight back against government's intrusion into our personal lives," said Black.
"The campaign is off to a great start. People know that Diane will not sit in the back row and do what she is told, but on her first day will fight for Middle Tennessee in Washington the same way she fights in Nashville. Our campaign has been frugal and used our donor's money wisely, which is why we lead our opponents in cash on hand. Additionally, we have over $424K available to spend in the primary compared to our opponents, Lou Ann Zelenik ($345K) and Jim Tracy ($334K)," said campaign manager Annie Palisi.
Diane Black is running for Tennessee's sixth congressional district. She is a small business owner, a nurse for over forty years, and a serious legislator who has been fighting for conservative values since 1998. Diane earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Belmont University in 1992. She has worked in emergency rooms and taught at Volunteer State Community College as an assistant professor of allied health. In addition, she served as Executive Director of Sumner Regional Health Systems Foundation and Development Director for the Middle Tennessee YMCA. Diane lives in Gallatin with her husband David. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
